Welcome to ALOT Creative!

With a passion for design, social media, creativity, and writing, I have curated a wide variety of templates and designs to help other entrepreneurs on their creative journeys. My aim is to share my knowledge and help others with affordable prices and easy-to-use designs.

I remember the frustration of spending hours developing social media posts, product images, covers, banners, and videos when I wanted to focus on other things. This frustration inspired me to create a solution for those who may be in the same situation.

A Growing Journey

Since the launch of ALOT Creative in May of this year, I’ve created four initial templates. This journey has been a fascinating mix of challenges and achievements. The incredible reviews I’ve received have been a boost of energy to continue. Each new template is an opportunity to improve my skills and meet the unique needs of each client.

The first sale was a remarkable and stimulating moment. Receiving a purchase confirmation email always brings a feeling of accomplishment and validation of my work.

Exploring New Paths

I’m excited about what the future holds for ALOT Creative. I have plans to expand my catalogue and create more templates that can inspire and help creators and entrepreneurs. I feel that with each new design, my connection to the creative community grows, and that only increases my dedication to this project.

To start this newsletter, I opted for Substack, since many of the authors I admire also use it as a platform, like “Tá todo mundo tentando“, by Gaia Passarelli, and “Mental Hellth“, by P.E. Moskowitz. In this new endeavour, I decided that my newsletter will be biweekly, so I can take it slow and test the waters before diving in headfirst.

My first impressions of Substack:

• At first, I admit that navigating the platform was a bit complicated, but I soon discovered that it’s really easy to use. Writing and formatting the newsletter there is a relatively easy process.

• I realised that many people have migrated to Substack, including much of the blogging community. There’s something really interesting happening there – it’s not just another place to use to send an email!
• Plus, it’s free and allows me to take my contacts with me.
• I love the functionality of saving my newsletters as blog posts, which expands the reach and life of the content.
• The platform offers additional features, such as “notes” (a kind of internal Twitter), podcasts, and even the option to narrate newsletters. Pretty cool, right?

When inspiration strikes… My Newsletter

My newsletter is a bilingual project, with When Inspiration Hits… and Quando a Inspiração bate… where I share with you my creative endeavours and everything I learn along the way. I cover various topics, from writing, literature, and social media to artificial intelligence, creativity, self-publishing, culture, and much more. The idea is that we can be creative together and create a community of exchange of ideas and inspirations.

The first issues have already been published, and I’m very excited to continue this journey. I thank everyone following me and invite those not yet on board to join me on this journey of discovery and creativity.

And today I want to share with you what these projects are. I hope you like the ideas and, most of all, enjoy the content that is on its way.

1. Astronomy documentary

We have already made an astronomy documentary for university, and through that we got to know the local clubs. In the end, they liked the result and invited us to make a longer documentary that could serve as a guide for anyone who wants to start a club. So yesterday we went to a public observation session and got to work. It was really great and I am very optimistic about this project.

2. Prep course radio

I have a scholarship at the university’s UEM entrance exam prep course. It is an outreach project with a social focus, and one thing my boss/supervisor always says is: come to the course not only because you want to receive something, come because you like it and always think of something that can make it better. Since my boss/supervisor has always wanted a course radio station, and I have some radio experience, I embraced the idea and decided to put it into practice.
The plan is to create an online radio with extra classes to help students pass the entrance exam. And to go further: create social media channels for interaction, make explanatory videos, and provide extra written materials. All to help them pass the exam. Last week we had our first team meeting and I am really excited about what might come next.

3. Stories Only Exist When Remembered

Ever since I watched the film that gives this topic its name, I keep thinking about how my grandparents have so many incredible stories to tell and that if they are not preserved somehow, they will die with them. So I spoke to my grandmother and I am starting a project to record videos of her telling old stories, whether legends or real ones. The important thing is to record the memories.
I will create a YouTube account for this, with the aim of archiving everything. It should also be something that people can watch and remember their own grandparents and, who knows, maybe do the same with them. (p.s. now it’s live!! here!)

4. A book about life

I have always wanted to write a book. But for me, either you have a very fertile imagination to create an incredible story, or you need a source of inspiration that gives you real stories that deserve to be written down and preserved. So, in the same spirit as the previous project, I am starting this one. My grandmother has lived a lot, to the point that some of the situations she has experienced are so striking they barely seem real.
All of these stories could become a book about her life. A book where people could learn more about what life in the countryside used to be like, what it was like to have many children, and discover the sadnesses, loves and joys of a woman who has lived so much. I hope it works out, and this is the longest-term project. I will write calmly and with passion. I hope everything turns out well in the end.

5. Blog and odd jobs

I like writing, I like taking photos. So this year I decided to dedicate myself properly to these two things.
The writing will stay on the blog, by posting more and interacting more. I am also thinking about some investments that will help improve this whole space.
The photography will be in the side jobs. I will make a business card and start making myself available to put into practice what I have learnt in photography: I will do photo shoots and cover events.

So that is it, I hope I have enough energy to handle everything.
